Barry O'Sullivan

Barry spent his formative years with Mansell and moved as Commercial Manager to Bovis Lelliott, where he gained valuable experience working on multi-million pound commercial and residential projects. In 2000 he moved with his then Managing Director and Surveying Director to Eugena Ltd, where he was instrumental as Commercial Director in increasing turnover from £12m to circa £50m.

ROLE: Barry is responsible for all the commercial and procurement matters on ME Construction projects. Barry works closely with Dennis to ensure contractors are procured early, valuations are carried out in a timely manner, variations are priced as quickly as possible and the final account is produced promptly after the completion of the project to enable an early settlement of the account.

Barry is responsible for ensuring the right commercial resources are available to allow the procurement to proceed in accordance with the construction programme. Barry is also responsible for the development and implementation of the commercial procedures. Barry believes that by working as a team with a common goal, projects can and will be delivered within the measurable of Time, Quality and Budget.

Dennis Barnard

Dennis has 21 years experience in the management of projects within the refurbishment, conservation, residential and healthcare sectors. He sets the highest standards for his project teams and ensures, through regular visits and reporting, that these standards are met.

He promotes a teamwork approach to all projects where each member has an important role to play. He adopts a pragmatic, “can do” attitude which ensures the success of the project and the overall satisfaction of the Client & design team.

ROLE: Dennis is responsible for running all ME Construction projects. He ensures that the pre-contract team sets up the projects effectively to enable a good start to be made on site. Specialist contractors are appointed early, the site is properly resourced and the construction programme is closely monitored to ensure the works proceed in accordance with the plan.

Dennis is also responsible for the ME Construction Health, Safety and Environment Policy and implementation. He liaises with the Safety Team to ensure the Health & Safety on site is of the highest standard.

In addition to the above Dennis develops and implements the Quality Management standards and procedures for all Projects.

Dennis maintains close contact with the Client and Design Team on all matters.

Peter McCullagh

After spending his early years at Mansell, alongside Barry O’Sullivan, as a Surveyor progressing to Surveying Section Leader, Peter moved into Contract Management with fit out group Overbury before moving into Estimating with Charter Construction, building up their turnover from £8m to £20m. In 2004 he again teamed up with Barry at Eugena Limited as Estimating Director where he gained considerable experience helping increase their turnover to over £50m.

Peter has joined Barry and Dennis as Estimating Director with the ambition to assist with the controlled growth of the business.

Peter is responsible for pre-construction and estimating duties, ensuring the correct allowance in both time and cost, enabling the projects to be completed to the highest standard.

This function incorporates managing the approved sub-contractor database, pre-contract planning and collating the tender submission documentation.

Paul Driver

Paul Driver was appointed as Business Development Director for ME Construction. Prior to joining ME Construction, he was Business Development Director at YJL London Ltd for 7 years. Paul’s key task is in identifying opportunities, getting in touch with new Clients and keeping in touch with existing Clients about their thoughts, feelings and perceptions about our service.

Paul is also available throughout and after the construction cycle providing our Clients with a sounding board so we can continually improve our approach and service.

Paul’s role is to:

Paul Yeo

John Yeo qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1989 and spent two further years in auditing where he gained much exposure to companies within the construction industry. John then decided to move into the commercial world by joining an Exhibition Company as their Accountant. He worked his way up to become the Regional Financial Director overseeing companies in Europe, USA and Mexico. He gained much experience in managing a multinational group of subsidiary companies as well as in the implementation of new accounting systems.

John took the first step into the world of construction when he joined an American retail fit-out company which specialised in the building of GAP stores. His career path then led him into general construction where he has been at the helm of the finance and accounting department as Chief Accountant and Finance Director for the last 12 years. Armed with a solid background and experience in Financial Accounting, Construction Job Cost Accounting, Treasury and Cash Management, John is geared to take this Company into the next stage of its development and expansion.
