The property is a Grade 1 Listed early Georgian Town House of
the First Class with six storeys, including the ground floor and one
basement level. The original house is one of a terrace of four
designed by the noted architect, Colin Campbell and built for Lord
Burlington dating from 1718 to 1724.
The principal main 18th Century oak staircase, serving the Ground
and 1st Floor, is hand carved and decorated to the highest of
standards with enriched mouldings and carvings.
The works undertaken were external brickwork and roof repairs.
Extensive replacement of mechanical and electrical services and
upgrading to enable its conversion into a Head Office for a major
retailer. Structural remedial works and redecoration works were
also completed , all of which required Listed Building control
approval.
